observability

Practical writing on OpenTelemetry, collector fleets, and cutting telemetry cost at the source — filter, sample and route data before it leaves your perimeter. Built on what we learned shipping LinkMesh, our on-prem control plane for OpenTelemetry collector fleets.

Kubernetes Monitoring: A Layer-by-Layer Guide

What to monitor in Kubernetes, from control plane and etcd to workloads, plus eBPF tracing with a DaemonSet, collection patterns and alerting that works.

Cut your observability bill at the source

Today we're launching LinkMesh — a control plane for your OpenTelemetry collector fleet that lets you drop the noise, redact the risk, and route what's left, before a single byte leaves your network.

Application Observability Tracing Auto Instrumentation

Exploring Application Observability in 2025: Can we achieve true zero-code distributed tracing & auto-instrumentation on Linux VMs? Tested OpenTelemetry Injector, eBPF tools like Beyla/OTel eBPF, and more. Progress is huge, but not fully magical yet.

Observability - Reliability and Consistency with OpenTelemetry Weaver

OpenTelemetry Weaver (v0.16.1) revolutionizes observability by enforcing Semantic Conventions in CI/CD pipelines. This CLI tool validates telemetry data, generates type-safe SDKs, and auto-documents signals, ensuring consistent, governable observability across systems.
